Warning: This mixture should only be used when the temperature is low (below 5°C). When conditions return to normal, the mixture must be completely drained, the pipes cleaned, and the chiller recharged with distilled water.

Key Recommendations

  • Optimal Concentration: It is recommended to maintain an antifreeze concentration not exceeding 30%. Using higher concentrations can cause pipe blockages and accelerate component corrosion.
  • Avoid Mixing: Do not mix different brands of antifreeze. Although base ingredients may be similar, additive formulas vary. To prevent adverse chemical reactions, such as precipitation or bubble formation, always use the same brand.
  • Freezing Point: It is important to know that more antifreeze does not always equal a lower freezing point. In fact, if the concentration exceeds 70%, the freezing point starts to rise. For example, pure antifreeze (100%) freezes at -13°C.
